A kiss, or several throughout the day, can strengthen your bond with your partner. Obvious? Maybe, but it’s such an easy, delightful fix, that we thought we’d remind you to lock lips more often. Kissing stimulates the release of dopamine, one of the body’s most powerful neurotransmitters, as well as unleashing feel-good endorphins and dopamine. This little cocktail boosts your mood, your libido… and the certainty that being intimate with your partner makes you feel good. In 2013, Wlodarski and Dunbar found a correlation between the amount of kissing long-term partners did and the quality of their relationship.
The kiss is clearly a happy topic for researchers; they’ve discovered many positive side effects of kissing, including helping to reduce stress and that frequently kissing your partner, can boost your immune system, by exposing you to a greater variety of microbes.
