Community Q&A

Recently I have been feeling very stressed and often quite emotionally drained. Do you have any suggestions for what I should do at work and at home?

    Hi Aby,

This sounds common and can be exhausting if not addressed.  Stress in any form does more harm to the body and emotional state and if not addressed can get out of control quickly.

For me unfortunately, I didn't address it and stress and oxidative stress in the body can lead to disease, what showed up for me was Rheumatoid Arthritis...an inflammatory disease.  How I managed to reduce the stress was to:

    (1) take care of yourself, get adequate rest, join Yoga and exercise daily (make time for it and make it a non negotiable),

    (2) meditation, mindfulness and learning to 'breathe' through difficult times and how to quieten your mind.

    (3) reduce oxidative stress in the body - Nrf2 technology via 'activation' at the cellular level can drastically assist with this.  This 'activation' product, not a supplement but an activator, is proven to reduce the oxidative stress in the body by 40% within the first 30 days, allowing you to be calmer, sleep better, less stress and have more energy.

    (4) take time for YOU, indulge and enjoy some ME time...good for the soul.

    Hi Abby

The first thing you need to do is to start to take care of you. Try to start the day in the way you intend to finish it. It is worthwhile taking 15 minutes to half an hour to set your "emotional and mental state" for the day. First thing when you get out of bed, do something to "fill your cup up," such as meditate, read an inspiring quote or go for a walk in nature. When you are feeling strong emotionally for the day it will give you more resilience to deal with challenges as they occur.

Secondly, it is important to become comfortable with all of your emotions. If you feel emotionally unsettled ask yourself: What am I feeling right now? Whatever the feeling is, just accept it. You could be feeling sad, insecure, angry, hurt or disappointed for example. Accepting the feeling as it is without judgement will allow it to pass through your energetic system, allowing you to feel happy and centred again. The problem is when you hold onto your emotions thinking they are bad or wrong and they stay trapped making you feel unstable. However if you accept them as they are they will flow and you will be in control of your emotional well-being rather than feeling like your emotions control you.

Thirdly when you are stressed, focus on your breath. When you take in big deep breaths it calms your nervous system and allows you to feel more peaceful again.
