How do I deal with being bullied?

Never laugh it off or minimise your feelings around bullying behaviour, as this enables the bully to carry on their hurtful behaviour. What is needed here instead for your self-respect and to save them from themselves, is boundaries. If it is safe to do so, stand up for yourself. Bullies rely on you being passive.
If it is not safe to confront the bully (listen to your inner wisdom here), remove yourself from the situation and put in a boundary from afar. Give yourself space and talk to a trusted friend or professional therapist who can give you some support. Refuse to be a victim. Do not give the bully your energy, NO-ONE ever deserves to be bullied
