How do I develop a peaceful mind?

I find getting out into nature really helps with this. Just somewhere quiet and natural!

Start by sitting in a comfortable place and observe your inner world by taking your attention inwards and becoming aware of any thoughts and the resulting feelings. Let any thoughts pass through your mind without judgement a focus on your breath. Use the long slow inhales and long slow exhales, to calm your mind. Develop mental resilience by not worrying about the past or future, but instead, fully engaging your mind in the present.
Do this by focussing on the energy in your whole body. Use your awareness to focus on the connection of your feet with the ground for example. Become aware of your senses, what you are hearing, touching, feeling, seeing and smelling right know. Focus your attention fully on the task at hand. Practice thoughts of acceptance around what you currently feel in the moment to ease any tension you may be feeling the body.
Value relaxation time as it will help your “doing” time to be more focused and effective. Activities such as yoga, qi gong, gardening, sports, hobbies, being in nature, and generally doing things you love are all effective way to quieten a restless mind to one that is instead peaceful.
