When we are present we are more calm and centred and able to make our best decisions. Practice presence in your life by creating regular spaces. For example: stop and take a few deep breaths every hour, take a break from your desk while working, take some time to "just be" on the weekends. There was a time in my life, when I pushed myself through everyday, working hard and going from one thing to the next. However I have found that by providing "spaces" that the "doing" times are more focussed and productive.
