It's so easy to get lost in our phones, hunching over the screen creating tension in your neck, shoulders and back. I'll always start my train ride with a quick meditation and close my eyes. I'll start by focusing on the sounds around me, then focusing on the way my body feels sitting in my seat. This helps me to stay present and i actually start enjoying my commute!

I work in retail and often people come into my store just because they want to chat. I love to chat and i love talking to others and helping them when they need it, but it is so important to know when to draw that line to ensure your own well-being is being taken care of. When i find someone is pulling too much of my energy i've learnt to politely let them know they i need to get back to work, however it will always be tough to do this.
At the end of the day, people who over-talk always have a reason for this, and it is important for these people to let these emotions out regularly rather than in bursts. less
