    Hi Jack. Blisspot brings up some good points. Here is my take on it.

    If there is something organically going on {ADD or ADHD}, you should consult with a professional. If it's a mental blockage, or something like a fear of success, you'll have to dig deeper to move past it. Blisspot mentioned not to judge the thought, but to observe it. If you can do this, you are on the right track. The short answer though for working on things at hand-

    Make a list and prioritize

    As soon as you realize you're off courses, stop and course correct.

    Don't be hard on yourself when you're not focused. {Remember observe, not judge.}

    Celebrate every win {even the small ones.}

    There is a lot that you could do, but I would need to know more. But for now, try and slow down. Stay in the moment. And return to the moment when you realize that you are not focused. Retrain the brain.

    Great question Jack, take a short break to refocus your mind. Normally the mind is unable to focus when it is too busy.

    To calm and recenter your mind, take three deep breaths, with a longer out breath as this is particularly calming.

    If your mind is still busy ask yourself "what you are thinking right now and how are you feeling"? What you think determines how you feel. If you are thinking "I am going to be late" over and over, you will probably feel uptight, for example. However if you change your thoughts, for example to "I am doing my best to get there as soon as I can," you will find that you are more likely to relax.

    It's ideal not to judge your thoughts but to observe them, like clouds passing in the sky and then gently change them to ones that do.

    When you have a calm mind you will be able to focus on the things that you need to.

    Hope this is helpful, let us know if you have anymore questions.
